This week, Megha Pai, an assistant account executive in our Pittsburgh office, told us what she’s been into lately.

Book I’m reading… I’m currently reading “In a Dark, Dark Wood” by Ruth Ware. Her writing crafts a chilling sense of unease, rife with suspense—perfect for Halloween season. Growing up, I devoured mystery novels—this book is in the same vein as works by Agatha Christie and Stephen King. There’s a sharp, cinematic quality to it: I can’t wait for the movie to hit theaters.

What I’m watching… I finished binge-watching “The Americans” a couple weeks ago, and the ending (no spoilers here) still gets me. The show centers around two KGB agents stationed in the United States during the Cold War. Their cover is the life they’ve created as an average, all-American family in the suburbs—a life that sometimes feels more real than their actual identities. If the show’s plot and the ’80s music throughout isn’t enough to draw you in, the acting will—Keri Russell and Matthew Rhys portray believable, complex characters that keep the story interesting for all six seasons. Add this one to your queue.

What I’m listening to… I’ve been listening to the new Death Cab for Cutie album, “Thank You for Today,” on repeat. It’s a softer, melancholy album that pairs well with the rainy weather we’ve been having in Pittsburgh lately. Top tracks: “I Dreamt We Spoke Again,” “Summer Years” and “You Moved Away.”
