Top-of-Mind Tuesday with Red Havas VP SuJin Oh

by Ellen Mallernee Barnes in News, Top-of-Mind Tuesdday

Welcome to Red Havas’ Top-of-Mind Tuesday blog series. Some weeks you’ll find a crowdsourced list of assorted stuff our staff is pondering and learning and falling in love with, and other times our top-of-mind list will fit into a single theme or come from one particular Redster. This week, SuJin Oh, a vice president in our New York office, told us what she’s been into lately.

What I’m reading… I’m really enjoying “If Beale Street Could Talk” by James Baldwin; I have vowed to not see the movie until I finish the book.

What I’m cooking… With my green Le Creuset Dutch Oven, I’ve been making beef stroganoff, ropa vieja, chicken cacciatore, boeuf bourguignon and more! One-pot dishes are my favorite go-to meals for entertaining a large party.

What I’m watching on TV… I’m a “Today” show geek. I’ve been watching it since I was in grade school. I am personally driven to pitch and place stories on NBC just so I can meet and work with the correspondents I’ve watched on TV. I’ve met and worked with Kerry Sanders, Lester Holt, Dylan Dreyer, Al Roker, Harry Smith and others, and it’s always a thrill!

What I’m following on Instagram… I’m obsessed with French bulldogs, pandas, #flatfacecat, extreme Asian makeovers and @EvaChen212.

What I’m snacking on… free (complimentary) bar snacks. I believe every bar should provide complimentary bar snacks. Bars are in the hospitality business. Whenever a bar offers a plate of free snacks, they win my loyalty right away, and I post it on Instagram. If you go to #freebarfood there are 35 posts. Twenty three of them are mine.
