Content Manager, New York

The role

The ability to excel at integrating social media as part of the wider marketing mix successfully is our collective passion and point of difference. As Content Manager, you will be tasked with driving the day-to-day delivery on our clients’ social media needs in collaboration with the wider social, content and agency team.

Reporting in to our Associate Vice President, Social & Operations, this position sees you play an integral part in building, managing and maintaining strong relationships with our direct client contacts on a daily basis as we bring the brands they represent to life in social via strategically informed creative content executions that effectively engage the intended audience.

In this role you will work as part of a dynamic, forward thinking team and will navigate all areas of the social media realm – from content strategy and creation, to community management, to reporting, to paid amplification and project management. You will be a go-to social specialist in the agency and stay on top of this exciting, ever changing space in which you will learn something new every day. Your role will also see you lend your expertise, insights and advice to the wider Red Havas network, working with the social team across other markets to ensure quality and consistency as relevant.

What we expect from you

Account Management

  • Pro-active management of day-to-day client contact with assigned clients via email, phone and in person
  • Organization of regular WIP meetings relating to status updates on assigned accounts, both internally and externally with client or partner agencies
  • Development and consistent updating of assigned internal and client WIP documents
  • Liaison with internal teams, locally and globally, with regards to work in progress on a daily basis via phone, email, Teams chat and in person
  • Constant management of client and internal team (senior, peer, junior) expectations surrounding key deliverables on assigned accounts
  • Management of account admin including but not limited to: Job set up and distribution, daily timesheet management/completion, server/document organization and management, SOW/estimate development, support to account service team in finance management/billing, organizing internal and client team meetings
  • Management of content, community and paid social approval process both internally and with client
  • Support in development of account reconciliations to ensure adherence to allocated budgets and inform resource allocation and utilization in most effective/efficient manner across assigned accounts
  • Strong collaboration and constant communication/integration with account teams and external stakeholders

Content & Community Management

  • Management and development of strategically informed and creative content, content calendars and paid social media plans working to Red Havas formats and templated across assigned accounts on annual, quarterly, monthly, weekly or daily basis as agreed with client
  • Long and short form copywriting and conceptual content development for best practice creative and multi-format content across all mainstream social media channels including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, LinkedIn and Snapchat
  • In depth knowledge of social media best practices, content formats and available features across all mainstream and new social media channels
  • Application of in-depth social media knowledge across assigned and other client accounts both as per process in place and pro-actively
  • Management of server folders and document/file saving across assigned clients’ accounts as per agreed naming conventions and process in place
  • In-depth knowledge of paid social media methods and best practices across all mainstream social media channels
  • Development of paid social media plans either independently across smaller accounts or in partnership with a Paid Social Media Manager across larger accounts with high level of spend
  • In-depth knowledge of native reporting tools and available metrics across all mainstream and new social media channels
  • Development of annual, quarterly, monthly, weekly or daily social media performance dashboards/reports outlining performance across key metrics and agreed KPIs, insights into performance, recommendations for improvement and landscape/competitor updates or analysis
  • In depth knowledge of social media management and reporting tools available across the social landscape and used by the agency or across client accounts
  • Monitoring and management of assigned social media communities across all mainstream channels
  • Development, management and updating of social media Conversation Matrix across assigned client accounts
  • Timely management of and responses to social media comments, questions and other queries on assigned social media channels across clients
  • Management and content development for Red Havas social media channels as relevant
  • Regular (daily) consumption and sharing of all key social media news/updates
  • Development of social media influencer proposals including selection of relevant influencers / co-creators or talent based on client needs

Project Management

  • Development of detailed project plans and delivery timelines based on agreed client deliverables and expectations in line with agreed agency process and utilizing assigned tools
  • Liaison with internal teams surrounding delivery on client deadlines and expectations
  • Management, completion, submission and oversight of timely resource booking requests in line with agency process
  • Development of production timelines and run sheets for social media content creation shoots
  • Management of pre-during-post production process across social media content creation shoots
  • Collaboration with Operations/Project Management team and relevant leads in management of projects and ‘Business as Unusual’ deliverables on assigned accounts
  • Set up and management of job codes across assigned client accounts and internal projects

People Management & Soft Skills

  • Development or input of informed hours into campaign estimates/scopes of work
  • Proactive collaboration with senior/wider team to inform constant improvement of agency social media/content offering

Partnerships, Tools & Development

  • Constant assessment and evaluation of available best practice social media/communication tools and technology with the aim of keeping Red Havas the forefront of the industry and delivering the most efficient/effective outcomes for its clients
  • Development and management of strong relationships with key contacts at partner companies – particularly social media platforms such as Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube/Google, Twitter etc.
  • Regular attendance at relevant social media/industry events both physically and online i.e. via Webinars

Paid Social Media Manager, New York

The role

This role makes room for a new, modern-day Paid Social Media Manager. This is a position that will best suit someone with experience in data assessment and analytics who is able to utilize these core skills to extract actionable insights and recommendations for clients within the social media space. You will provide expertise and guidance across accounts of all kinds and be responsible for ensuring that the Red Havas vision is brought to life. You are the one who not only sets but raises our research, assessment, and analytical strategic standards and evolves the ‘integration nation’ mission that drives us along the way. As part of your role, you will be a key player in guiding and mentoring the wider Red Havas team within the data and insights landscape as well as through the content and paid optimization process. In this position, you will work alongside Havas’ creative and media divisions, bringing our clients’ goals to life through fully integrated solutions across a range of channels and disciplines.

What we expect from you
  • Collaborate closely with the wider Red Havas team, showcasing a best-in-class approach to data, insights, and optimization across the Social, PR, and Experiential divisions

Account Supervisor, New York

The role

We seek a New York-based account supervisor (AS). We are looking for an experienced AS with strong regional and national media (broadcast) relationships and pitching experience—in other words, a media rock star. Ideal candidate has background in corporate communications; experience in executive branding, leveraging research/studies and healthcare preferred. We are not cookie-cutter thinkers and want people who are willing to think differently, too. Candidates should be highly motivated self-starters with a strong corporate and executive placement experience—excellent media relations, social media, writing and client management skills a must.

  • Spearhead media outreach—from developing pitch angles and identifying targets to securing top-tier national placements/media meetings

The role

We seek a New York–based senior account executive (SAE). We are looking for a well-rounded, experienced SAE to work across a mixture of corporate and consumer accounts with strong media relations and writing skills. These accounts include a state and regional economic development, a national fleet industry leader, financial technology company, a new to the U.S TV streaming service, corporate communications and pharmaceutical clients. A typical day could include everything from live tweeting a press conference to pitching innovation initiatives to national media, writing press release, awards and speaking engagement submissions and more. The role encompasses all aspects of media management, including pitching news and features, drafting material for and running social media accounts, preparing content for clients and the press and attending and helping to run events. As the role is client facing, it also includes client management, preparing and presenting updates and strategies and taking part in new business activity. Red Havas works as a close-knit team and SAEs report up to senior staff while also helping to support and manage other team members.

The role

The account executive has 1-3 years public relations experience and assists with client services, account management, media relations and social media content creation and strategy across several accounts.

What we expect from you

We are looking for an enthusiastic, smart Account Executive who has 1-3 years of experience in the PR industry (agency experience preferred). He/she should have an interest in expanding their knowledge of corporate PR and working with clients in industries including commercial real estate, fintech/payments company, a water flavoring brand, health care brand and law firm.

  • Manage communication directly with clients and other team members across several accounts, including regular calls and in-person meetings
  • Identify media targets, develop lists and pitch to media in various industries, including regional, trade and national outlets
  • Monitor for clients in the news and identify opportunities for proactive outreach

Fellow, Pittsburgh

The role

A fellowship is an entry-level position designed to teach the employee the fundamental facets of advertising, the company and their department. With a focus on training, our Fellows will have the opportunity to participate in training courses such as Message Development, Merged Media Campaigns and Insightful Auditing Skills.

What we expect from you

We are looking for an enthusiastic, smart Fellow who has held at least one internship in the PR industry. This person will be responsible for monitoring, reporting, and supporting pitching efforts. He/she should also have interest in learning about financial services.
